Butler High School CEEB Code: 310170
The SAT and ACT are two standardized tests you can take in preparation for college admission. Most schools will accept either/or, but it is always a good idea to check with the individual college’s website. Websites for both of these tests will offer practice questions that you can use to determine which test you think you may be more successful with.

How many times should a student take the SAT?
The vast majority of students take the SAT once or twice, and the College Board does not recommend that students take the SAT more than twice. There is no evidence to support the idea that taking the SAT more than twice results in significant score gains.

- Private colleges may seem expensive, but there are ways to make it more affordable through scholarships and financial aid. To get an estimate of what the “net” cost of a college would be for you, use CollegeBoard’s Net Price Calculator. Be sure to compare Net prices when comparing colleges. This worksheet may be helpful.
